Entertainment and Shopping

There are major theatres in Portsmouth, Chichester and Southampton whilst Fareham has its own arts centre. Modern cinema and shopping complexes can be found in Fareham, Port Solent (Porchester), Gunwharf Quay in Portsmouth. Southampton has West Quay shopping centre and Hedge End on the M27 motorway can boast one on UK’s largest Marks and Spencer outlets.

The historic city of Winchester is nearby and accessible via M3 motorway.

Outdoor Pursuits

There are excellent sailing and windsurfing facilities, with walking routes along the coastal paths and further inland. The New Forest is easily reached by road. Sporting events are held closeby; cricket at the Rosebowl; racing at Goodwood, international sailing at Cowes, IoW and of course soccer at Portsmouth and Southampton.
